Out of the blue, Misfits Gaming has announced its entry into the professional Rocket League scene. The esports team has acquired the Monkeys roster as they prepare for their first match today.

Misfits Rocket League Roster

  • Ario “arju” Berdin
  • Mitchel “Mittaen” Driessen
  • Kurtis “Kash” Cannon

The Misfits roster aren’t strangers in the professional Rocket League scene. Even though none of them have played in the RLCS World Championship before today, they have shown promise in RLCS Season X.

History of the roster

Mittaen and arju joined the Monkeys in May this year with Kash joining later in August. But even before representing the Monkeys, Mittaen and arju played together for Galaxy Racer. Together the two of them finished third-fourth in last year’s Rocket League Fall Major. However, they were dropped after missing out on the Spring Major finishing ninth in the European rankings. During this time, Kash was playing for Rix.GG. The trio was coached by ANDYTHEMANDY when they were playing for the Monkeys.

RLCS 2021-22 – Fall: Europe Regional Event 1

Misfits Gaming are making their debut in Rocket League esports today. The team will be facing William’s Resolve as their first opponent. Misfits definitely will be looking to start their Rocket League journey off on a strong foot.

The three-day tournament is hosting the likes of Team BDS, Team Vitality, Evil Geniuses, and Dignitas to name a few. A $100,000 USD prize pool is up for grabs as well as RLCS Circuit Ranking Points. You can watch the tournament on Rocket League’s official Twitch channel here.

Misfits aren’t the only notable organization to make an entry into Rocket League recently. Ukrainian powerhouse, Na’Vi has also recently announced their venture into the scene. They too are participating at the Fall: Europe Regional Event 1.
